Fathom FR36
2.0 UPDATE- Sometime after the initial release, I received a message from one the legends of the scene - Thundersmacker. He expressed satisfaction with my work, but felt like the car needed some improvements. I gave him the green light to do whatever he wanted with it.
His efforts resulted in an update with the following changes:
- improved vertex AO and normals, making the car more look more attractive
- wheels were replaced with better looking ones
- front plate was added as an extra component
- clear rear taillight glass added as optional
- added a new handling option designed for the Realistic handling mod
- reduced model size
Despite the atrocious vehicle physics of GTA V, it somehow manages to get a lot more attention when it comes to vehicles. But I'm here to change that so you can properly enjoy its cars in the superior game.
Bring the FR36 from GTAO The Chop Shop update to the streets of Liberty City. A lot of effort was put to seamlessly integrate the vehicle into LC traffic. It features proper dirt/spec mapping, LODs, IV style panel gaps, vertex AO and an appropriate polycount.
It's not bloated with crap like tuning parts or HD interior.
Some design changes have been made in comparison to its V counterpart. These include:
- "Fathom spoiler" tuning option is now an extra
- Unique badges have been added
- Rims are now paintable
More ports are in the oven. Stay tuned.

Love the mod! Just two or three quick thoughts:
- I think it switches to the LOD model pretty quick, quicker than the rest of the traffic it seems to me
- For people not using FastMan's Audio Loader you could maybe make a vanilla car with a similar sound the standard for the vehicles.ide lines. The Sultan for example uses the "RallyRacer" engine sound too, so I just put that in there instead of "FR36". Or maybe at least drop a line somewhere to do the above-mentioned for ppl not using audio loader.
-While you're at it, maybe even drop a suggestion for cargrp.dat lines. E. g. I added the FR36 in every line, that has the intruder in it, bc both are based on Infiniti brand vehicles.
Anyway have a good one! :)
